About Century Casinos

Century Casinos was formed in 1992 by several executives of Casinos Austria. One of its first forays into live casinos came in 1994, when its cruise ship casino business began.

The company moved its headquarters from Denver to Colorado Springs in 1996, where it is still based. In 2006 it made a double move, simultaneously opening the Century Casino and Hotel in Central City, Colorado and in Edmonton, Alberta. In 2010 it bought the Silver Dollar Casino in Calgary. Its presence in Alberta grew again in 2019 when the Century Mile Racetrack and Casino in Edmonton was opened.
