There are more than 900 slots available on the 87,000 square foot casino floor. Progressive jackpot prizes include the ‘Diamond Millions’. This state-wide progressive features a jackpot prize that starts at a million dollars – growing from there until it is won. There are many other progressives. Some are linked between casinos around Alberta, others are casino-specific – the final category of progressives are specific to individual games.

Grey Eagle Casino poker room

You can enjoy poker across six tables that run from 10am through to 3am daily. There is no dedicated poker room, with the action placed in an area of the main casino.

The standard games offered are 1-2 and 2-5 No Limit Hold’em, as well as 1-2 Pot Limit Omaha. If you want to play another game or play at different stakes, the casino will endeavour to set up a table for you.

A full tournament schedule is also offered with more than one tournament starting each day. Nightly tournaments take place at 7:15 p.m. with buy-ins of $65 on Sunday through Thursday and $105 on Saturday and Sunday. All the tournaments are No Limit Hold’em apart from Monday when Pot Limit Omaha takes over.

Rewards Club

There are four eateries within the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino in Calgary:

• Little Chief Hotel and Restaurant: This restaurant aims to ‘modernize without losing its indigenous tradition’. On the menu, you will find options like spicy chorizo carbonara and smoked maple salmon. There are also classics including pizza, burgers, and chicken wings. You can also enjoy a full breakfast menu including the farmer’s breakfast, banana pancakes, and french toast.
• Buffet Restaurant: The Grey Eagle Casino Buffet and Restaurant offers something for everyone. The daily dinner buffet offers something different every night, from prime ribs to Pan-Asian and specialty themes.

Grey Eagle Resort and Casino history

The Grey Eagle Resort and Casino is owned and operated by the Tsuut’ina Nation, who reside on the Indian reserve Tsuut’ina Nation 145 in Calgary. They have a population of just over 2,000. In 2007, the Tsuut’ina Nation opened the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino just outside of Calgary City Limits. The casino was an instant success. An expansion in 2012 improved the site, adding entertainment options, and expanding the casino space.
