Cascades Casino history
Cascades Casino is owned and operated by Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited, a Canadian enterprise that has been one of the leading companies in the country’s gambling industry since 1992.
The company purchased many casinos in the mid and late 1990s, but 2002 was arguably the pivotal year for Gateway, as it saw the acquisition of Baccarat Casino in Edmonton, as well as Lake City casinos at four different locations.
In May of 2005, Cascades Casino in Langley finally opened to visitors. It was the largest casino in the area, featuring over 60,000 square feet of gambling space, a luxury hotel, and a 25,000-square-foot convention hall.
Cascades Casino hasn’t gone through any major renovations, but the casino continues to improve by adding new games and dining areas, as well as providing exciting promotions for its visitors.
Today, Gateway operates 25 casinos in Canada across three provinces — Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
