Calgary’s ACE Airport Casino Officially Opens

ACE Casinos officially opened its Airport Casino in Calgary this week.

The new location at 40 Aero Crescent features 638 slots, 26 table games, 12 VLT machines, 2 private VIP salons, 12 table poker rooms and arena-style gaming.

It new casino also boasts restaurants The Kitchen, The Buffet and ACE Sports Bar.

Dice begin rolling Friday morning

The newest Alberta casino officially began welcoming guests at 9 am on Friday, November 25.

The celebration featured live entertainment and performances, food and beverage specials and over $10,000 in cash prize giveaways.

Ace Casino’s Airport general manager Joe Chapple:

“We are thrilled to bring Calgary’s most dynamic entertainment destination to YYC providing Calgarians and airport guests a luxurious, high-energy atmosphere centered [sic] around immersive gaming, entertainment and dining experiences.”

According to the operator, the new casino will also mean hundreds of new jobs and entertainment options for Calgary.

The new property also offers more than 800 parking spots and multiple food and beverage options. As a result, guests will experience “a neighbourhood pub” remixed with the “high energy and excitement of a sports bar.”

Plus, there’s a multi-purpose room for private events and live entertainment.

Every Alberta casino also offers a GameSense Advisor. There is already a representative in place at the Ace Airport Casino to support players’ healthy behaviours.

ACE Casinos gives back locally

With the opening, ACE Casinos announced their giveback program would be active at the Ace Airport, Ace Casino Blackfoot and Cash Casino Red Deer.

An employee-led committee at each location will select the local communities and charities the program supports.

In September of 2022, Fairview Elementary School in Red Deer received a $10,000 donation from ACE Casino and Cash Casino. The school will use the money to assist refugees with living essentials like food, shelter, school supplies, and equipment.
