A new Ontario online bingo site is helping expand the province’s regulated gambling market while also supporting local charities.
On May 31, Delta Online Bingo officially became the exclusive provider of online bingo in Ontario. To make it happen, Delta joined forces with Ireland-based Broadway Gaming, using its Dragonfish software to bring its iBingo and gambling offering to market.
Broadway Gaming CEO David Butler said the partnership is a logical fit for bringing an elevated iGaming experience to Ontarians.
“We’re pleased to partner with Delta Bingo to support its official website launch within Ontario using our Broadway Gaming Dragonfish software,” Butler said. “Our technology, certification and professional services empower Delta with the technology and skills to bring a strong selection of iBingo and other engaging online games to the Ontario market.”
The operator’s latest innovation will also fall under the purview of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
Delta brings convenience and familiarity to bingo fans
Bingo has long been a part of the Ontario gambling mix.
The Delta Bingo brand has been part of Ontario’s brick-and-mortar gaming scene for over 50 years. With 18 gaming locations province-wide, the company’s new online aims to be familiar and reliable.
According to the iGaming Ontario website, Delta Bingo Online is, presently, the only regulated online bingo site in the province. So, what will players have access to?
In short, a dynamic, peer-to-peer iBingo offering that takes place in real time for guaranteed prizes. Additionally, the site will also feature premium slot games.
Online gaming site enhances Delta Bingo’s commitment to local charities
Delta’s online site continues the long tradition of bingos supporting local charities in Ontario.
Over the years, Delta Bingo has partnered with over 960 charities and raised over $500 million for local organizations. In other words, playing bingo at Delta, either in-person or online, benefits charities in the surrounding area.
The development of Delta Bingo Online allowed the company to enter an agreement with the Ontario Charitable Gaming Association. As a result, the deal will help support charities and not-for-profit organizations that service the community.
Specifically, the alliance will help aid:
- Families, youth, and vulnerable individuals
- Arts and culture
- Education
- Sports and recreation
- Community programs
“Charities across Ontario have struggled over the past few years with pandemic disruptions and other economic factors,” said Cam Johnstone, vice chair, Commercial Gaming Association of Ontario and owner of Delta iGaming Inc.
“This agreement ensures additional support for much-needed community organizations and initiatives and helps bring stability and certainty to the charitable gaming sector.”
