After becoming an official member of the Canadian Gaming Association in June, GameOn Entertainment keeps moving forward.

This time around, the gaming and entertainment company announced a Gaming Society collaboration to help promote women’s sports.

Toronto-based Gaming Society will license GameOn’s proprietary technology to power the fan engagement initiatives as part of the agreement.

The deal also includes predictor games that allow fans to place bonus bets on the WNBA, NWSL and more.

The companies will share all revenue generated from sportsbook affiliates and sponsorships.

“If you look around the gaming landscape, there aren’t many products that exist for the passionate fan communities of women’s sports,” said Jaymee Messler, Gaming Society founder.

“Partnering with GameOn will allow women’s sports fans to further invest in their favourite leagues, teams, and athletes while entering the betting space in a more accessible and easier way.”

Increasing the popularity of women’s sports

In August, Gaming Society partnered with the WNBA Players Association to launch its “Bet On Women” campaign.

The campaign aims to advance women’s sports by placing them at the forefront of sports betting. The program helps increase visibility for new audiences. Hopefully, this leads to new revenue streams for athletes and teams.

Gaming Society, launched by NBA legend Kevin Garnett and Messler, is a content and gaming platform shining the athlete’s point of view to sports betting. Messler is also co-founder of Players’ Tribune.

With its fan-forward voice, videos, newsletters and games, the platform aims to educate sports bettors better.

Educating through gamification

GameOn’s CEO Matt Bailey is equally thrilled about the partnership.

“We’re excited to partner with Gaming Society to elevate women’s sports and educate fans on sports betting through gamification,” he said.

“Despite women making up 40% of all athletes, they only receive 4% of media coverage, so it’s imperative platforms like Gaming Society help level the playing field through innovative, democratized fan engagement.”

GameOn Entertainment is a leading provider of white-label fan engagement tools and technology for sports, live events, and TV.

Their team and board include those from EA Sports, Take-Two Interactive, Dapper Labs, DraftKings, LaLiga, Barclays Center and more.
