Great Canadian Entertainment recently updated its in-house loyalty rewards program to allow for online registration.
With the new development, players can now sign up for the Great Canadian Rewards Program remotely, making it “the first gaming and entertainment rewards program in Ontario to offer new members a fully digitized experience,” according to a company statement.
The landmark program covers Great Canadian’s 12 Ontario casino properties, including Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto and Pickering Casino Resort.
Customer convenience drove update decision
Prior to Sept. 27, prospective members had to inquire about the gaming and entertainment giant’s loyalty system in person.
Gavin Whiteley, Chief Marketing Officer at Great Canadian Entertainment, knew that didn’t mesh with the company’s forward-thinking identity.
“Our vision is to advance the gaming landscape in Canada, and allowing our guests to become members from the comfort of their mobile device is a significant step toward achieving that goal,” said Whiteley in the same statement.
“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response and success of the Great Canadian Rewards loyalty program, and are excited about the prospect of making it easier for them to begin their Great Canadian Rewards journey before their first visit.”
Now, players can learn about the host of exclusive perks available to them before visiting a retail casino.
Perks include free play rewards
The free-to-join benefits system grants members select access to a wealth of gaming, hospitality, and entertainment-related rewards, specifically:
- Generous Free Play rewards earned through gaming activity
- Complimentary and discounted dining privileges at participating restaurants
- Exclusive discounts on hotel stays at the renowned Pickering Casino Resort, Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel, and Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto
- Front-of-the-line presale access to highly anticipated live concerts and events
- Invitations to members-only promotions
Earlier this year, the company scored an exclusive partnership with live entertainment titan, Live Nation Canada. The deal will bring some of the biggest names in music and comedy to several of the company’s Canadian casino properties.
Sign-up process uses Interac verification technology
All in all, the online sign-up process for Great Canadian’s reward system is relatively straightforward.
Once users click the “JOIN FOR FREE” button on the Great Canadian Rewards website, they will be prompted to digitally verify their identity using an Interac document verification service and confirm key information such as name and date of birth.
The Interac service will scan either a valid passport or a Canadian driver’s license to obtain this information. Users can provide these details with a mobile phone or desktop device.
