Jackpot Digital has received the regulatory green light to enter the Ontario market and offer its unique electronic table games to casinos around the province.
This follows the dealerless electronic poker provider’s Dec. 13 announcement that it had secured a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
“Receiving AGCO’s approval is a major milestone,” Jackpot Digital CEO Jake Kalpakian said in the same news release. “This approval provides us with the opportunity to offer our top-tier electronic gaming systems to operators throughout all of Ontario, positioning us for further growth in one of the world’s most robust gaming markets.
“We are excited to bring our innovative products to Ontario’s gaming community and continue our commitment to providing exciting, technology-driven entertainment experiences.”
Now officially registered under the province’s Gaming Control Act, Jackpot Digital can supply its electronic table games, namely its flagship product, Jackpot Blitz, to Ontario’s land-based casinos and other regulated gambling venues.
Jackpot Blitz lets players gamble on side games while playing poker
According to the Vancouver, British Columbia-based supplier, the Jackpot Blitz table game system “offers a modern, dealerless, player-friendly solution that integrates traditional multiplayer poker games with cutting-edge technology.”
The system can handle Texas Hold’em and Omaha.
It also allows players involved in a game of digital poker to simultaneously wager on player-versus-house side games. This secondary selection includes blackjack, baccarat, and video poker. Players can also place side bets on the main game, such as what cards will come out on the flop.
Those added features to entertain players during downtime between hands are what differentiates Jackpot Blitz from other electronic poker systems.
Jackpot Digital says it has already attracted interest from casinos around the province and intends to engage in discussions immediately.
Other features included in Jackpot Blitz
Alongside the aforementioned dual-gameplay option, Jackpot Blitz offers a few more distinct features.
The table itself holds a 4K touchscreen that enables players to perform a variety of basic and more advanced actions. During gameplay, Jackpot Blitz’s card-bending technology allows participants to peek at their hands without exposing the digital cards to others. Players also benefit from a heads-up display that includes their stats, bankroll, and bonuses.
As far as utilities go, Jackpot Blitz comes equipped with buy-in stations at every seat, which accept cash or players cards. Cupholders, phone holders, and USB charging ports are also present at each seat.
The playing surface is 75 inches.
