Digital game developer, Live5 Gaming, is expanding into British Columbia for the first time.
With necessary approvals in hand, the game provider doubled its presence in the fast-growing Canadian gambling market.
After getting a nod from the British Columbia Gaming Enforcement and Policy Branch (GEPB), Live5 will integrate its games into BCLC’s existing system. To do that, the company will work with Scientific Games (SG). British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) powers its gambling platform, PlayNow, using SG’s technology.
With the change, BC players will have access to popular Live5 titles, like Sheba, Orb of Osiris, Win In Rome and Minotaur.

“We are thrilled to have received the necessary approvals to launch our popular online slot content with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and to players on its PlayNow site,” said Lloyd Butler, Live5’s CEO.
According to Butler, Live5 designs games to provide high levels of engagement and entertainment. Live5 titles also offer “appealing bonus features” with winning potential.
“We believe the Canadian market has significant untapped potential,” added Butler. “And by applying for and receiving certifications such as this with the GEPB, we are positioning Live5 for a long and successful future in the market with our operator partners.”
Entering British Columbia continues Live5’s expansion drive into new markets worldwide, including here at home.

So far, Live5 has also received approval from Loto-Quebec. In addition to its Canadian presence, Live5 operates in several European jurisdictions – Denmark, Italy, Malta, Sweden, and the UK.
