Live casino games are now available to Ontario players.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) added an exciting new casino experience with a digital twist, in partnership with Evolution Gaming.
Strengthening position in Canada
OLG.ca launched an offering of live dealer games where players interact directly with casino game presenters via live stream.
The croupiers shuffle and deal real cards. And spin an actual roulette wheel.
Each game features a high-resolution video, giving players a similar experience to sitting in a real-world casino.
“We’re thrilled to be launching these dynamic, engaging live casino games on OLG.ca,” said Dave Pridmore, OLG’s chief digital and strategy officer.” And to be the only site in Ontario that offers them, adding further choice and convenience for our customers,”
“OLG is continually growing and strengthening its digital offerings, working with exciting partners like Evolution to deliver new products and experiences that resonate with our current players and attract new ones.”
Layers of entertainment
OLG is currently offering four games – ultimate Texas hold ’em, baccarat, infinite blackjack, roulette and auto roulette. And they are available 24/7.
On the other hand, Ontario-only blackjack will be available from 10 am – 2 pm every day.
“This partnership with OLG further strengthens our position in Canada, offering a world-leading Live Casino studio that delivers an authentic casino experience for all players,” said Jeff Millar, Evolution’s North American commercial director.
“We are excited to provide OLG our growing library of live dealer games and share the invaluable insight we have gained by serving customers in other Canadian provinces.”
OLG is the fourth Canadian province to partner with Evolution. British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC), and Loto-Québec already stream games from Evolution’s Vancouver studio.
PROLINE+ by the numbers
When Bill C-218 came into effect on Aug 27, it allowed single-sports betting in Canada. On the same day, OLG launched PROLINE+, making the Crown corporation among the first to launch singles in the country.
During the first five days of single bets in Canada, Ontario’s players wagered more than $1million. Nearly 74% were single bets.
PROLINE+ survey showed that 62% of Ontario bettors are keen to place single-event bets because of legalization.
OLG.ca has hundreds of gaming products at its disposal. Its portfolio includes numerous online slots, table games and lottery products. As well as sports betting opportunities, like pre-match and live bets.
The platform is available from any device located in Ontario, and 100% of the proceeds get reinvested in the local economy.
