Online payment platform Paysafe appointed Zak Cutler as CEO of the company’s North America igaming business.
Reporting directly to Group CEO Philip McHugh, Cutler will lead Paysafe’s ongoing strategic focus in the North American iGaming vertical.
The newly created role came along just in time for the online sportsbook market in the US to heat up. Canada, too, holds promise as provinces begin licensing and regulating single-event sports betting. But, here, Ontario leads the way.
Experience
With a proven track record of driving growth in igaming companies, Cutler brings extensive industry experience to the new position. He held senior roles at both startups and large, publicly traded firms.
Before Paysafe, Cutler worked as a VP of strategy and product at Jackpocket, an official state lottery ticket purchasing app.
He was also DraftKings’ director of product management. There he oversaw initiatives related to payment processing, US compliance, and international expansion.

A real asset
So far, Paysafe has partnered with the majority of regulated iLottery and gaming brands in Canada.

Working with 75% of operators across the US, Paysafe currently provides payments or marketing solutions in 16 states.
Paysafe also processes payments for most of Canada’s regulated lotteries, including the ALC, BCLC, Loto-Québec, and OLG.
