Great Canadian Entertainment recently announced the grand opening of a “state-of-the-art” 18-table poker room at Pickering Casino Resort. Officially unveiled on Monday, Jan. 29 at noon, the entertainment and hospitality giant expects the physically impressive gaming space to be a popular gathering spot for poker aficionados.
“We are thrilled to introduce the poker room as the latest addition to our world-class offerings,” said Michael Kim, Executive Vice President, Great Canadian Entertainment via press release.
“We’re raising the stakes with another exciting amenity, joining our modern casino, Sportsbook and The Arena, highlighting our dedication to providing our guests with an immersive gaming and live entertainment experience.”
Pickering poker room boasts appealing mix of style and size
Spanning nearly 20,000 square feet, Pickering Casino’s latest attraction is far more than a large space to wager.
Located on the third floor of the gambling facility’s hotel, the 24/7 operation features 16 traditional tables, as well as two private High Stakes rooms. Here, players can engage with what the operator calls a more “exclusive and elevated experience.”
Pickering’s poker haven also offers a dedicated bar and tableside food delivery from its food hall, The District. In short, players can enjoy an all-in-one VIP poker experience without getting up from their seats.
Notably, the poker-friendly choice among Ontario casinos also contains a PlaySmart Centre on the gaming floor. In this area, players can access responsible gambling resources, including Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp’s. voluntary My PlayBreak program.
