OLG’s Proline+ Hits $1 Million In Wagers In One Week, $3M Overall

What a debut for PROLINE+. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s (OLG) new digital sportsbook crushed its opening week with over $1 million in placed bets. As of Sept.9, over $3 million in wagers have been booked, according to OLG.

Manitoba Launches Single-Event Wagers On PlayNow

Single-event sports betting is now live in Manitoba. Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries (MLL) launched single bets on PlayNow.com on day one of legal singles betting in Canada.

Sports Betting is now live in Alberta. Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) announced the addition to Play Alberta yesterday. Play Alberta is the only regulated online gambling website in Wild Rose country.

Score Media and Gaming Teams up with Golf Canada

It’s official - Score Media and Gaming Inc (theScore) has teamed up with Golf Canada. Specifically, the company’s online sportsbook, theScore Bet, is the centre part of a multi-year agreement between the two firms. According to the deal, theScore Bet will be Golf Canada’s first-ever gaming partner. The agreement includes access to the National Open Golf Championships – the CP Women’s Open and the RBC Canadian Open.

Go Canada! Single-Event Sports Betting Legislation Comes Into Effect

After a long wait, Canadians can legally bet on a single sporting event. Bill C-218, which passed the Senate on June 22, allows provinces to allow wagering on single games. Today, a little more than 2-months later, the legislation takes effect. Provinces can conduct and manage expanded sports betting offerings within their borders.

Ontario Names GLI an Official iGaming Independent Testing Laboratory

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) is officially an independent testing laboratory (ITL) for Ontario’s soon-to-launch competitive gambling market. GLI’s successful registration with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) authorizes the company to certify iGaming components. Operators require testing of elements like games, random number generators (RNGs), and platforms/remote gaming servers (RGS).
