History of Casino Niagara in Canada

Casino Niagara opened in 1996 on the former site of the Maple Leaf Village Amusement Park. When the casino launched, it was originally planned as a temporary facility. A quarter of a century later, it is still going strong in the same location.

The casino was only the second to open in Ontario and was the first in the province to feature electronic roulette. In 2017, Casino Niagara completed a renovation at the cost of $7 million. As of 2019, Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment took over the day-to-day running of the casino.
