Magic Palace Montreal is a poker room with electronic gambling devices in Kahnawake, a First Nations reserve of the Mohawk Nation. It is located only 15 minutes from downtown Montreal and five minutes from the Mercier Bridge.
The venue launched in 2009 under the name Snake’s Poker. Although there haven’t been significant expansions, the property did add an upscale restaurant when it first rebranded as Poker Palace in 2017. The year 2019 saw another rebranding, and the establishment we now know as Magic Palace Montreal opened on Feb. 8, 2019. It is owned by the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake and licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
The casino currently offers more than 400 electronic gambling devices and north of 20 tables in the poker room. There is also one restaurant on the premises. Although the property doesn’t feature a hotel, there is a variety of affordable accommodations in the vicinity.
Magic Palace Montreal welcomes its patrons every day from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. Visitors must be at least 18 years old to gain entry into the facility.
The 23,000 square feet of space at Magic Palace Montreal contains a gambling hall with more than 400 electronic gambling devices. While Magic Palace doesn’t currently run any special promotions, it does have a tiered loyalty program that provides discounts, bonus points, exclusive promotions and distinctive rewards to its members.
As we’ve already mentioned, the gambling hall at Magic Palace Montreal houses more than 400 top-notch electronic gambling devices. In addition, the slot machine games feature comfortable seating suitable for playing for lengthy periods of time.

Except for poker, Magic Palace Montreal in Kahnawake, QC, doesn’t currently offer any table games. While we would like to see these added, the casino has given no indications that this will happen anytime soon.

Players at Magic Palace Montreal can take a break from gambling for some classy dining at Mirela’s, the property’s high-end bar and restaurant. Guests can enjoy traditional breakfast food, meat and fish dishes, and Italian-inspired pasta dishes and pizza baked in a wood-fired oven imported from Naples, Italy. The restaurant is open daily from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Magic Palace has undergone a few face-lifts and rebrandings throughout its history. It opened as Snake’s Poker in 2009, setting a new standard in the local poker scene. However, things started to change in the subsequent years when other poker rooms, most notably Playground Poker, added higher stakes games and more food choices.
Since Snake’s Poker found itself in dire need of an upgrade to keep up with the competition, it ended up having to close its doors in November 2015. However, the poker venue was able to launch again in May 2017 with brand-new aesthetics and a high-end bar and restaurant. The establishment also had a new name — Poker Palace.
Unfortunately, the intervention proved insufficient in creating sustainable competition to the neighbouring Playground, which also featured electronic gambling devices. Therefore, the Poker Palace management saw the need for another update and added 371 electronic gambling devices before reopening as Magic Palace on Feb. 8, 2019.
Today, Magic Palace offers more than 400 EGDs and more than 20 poker tables, along with Mirela’s, its high-end bar and restaurant with a variety of food choices.
