The casino at Playground Poker Club
The number of games available at Playground is quite high, given that poker is the property’s primary focus. However, apart from video slots, you won’t be able to find many other options on the casino floor. If you’re a slots fan, on the other hand, you’ll have access to 400 machines. The EGD facility is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. However, admission to new visitors concludes at 3:30 a.m.
Slot machines
There are hundreds of slots available on the Playground floor. Here are some of the most popular:
- Cai Shen Kingdom — Players get to choose between two games on this machine: Lion’s Fest and China Dreams. Apart from smooth animations, the game comes with five jackpot levels, with the top two — the grand and major jackpots — being progressive. Ten Cai Shen Kingdom machines contribute to the progressive jackpots, which kick in if you land enough silver and gold coins (15 for the grand jackpot). The game also offers a free spins round if you land three or more scatters and starts at two credit denominations: $0.01 and $0.02.
- Lightning Cash — This slot machine offers as many as five games: High Stakes, Sahara Gold, Moon Race, Happy Lantern and Magic Pearl. Like Cai Shen Kingdom, Lightning Cash comes with stand-alone grand and major jackpots, in addition to minor and mini ones. Players can claim the grand jackpot if they land 15 scatter symbols on the reels. All games come with a hold and spin feature and a lucky chance spin.
- Dragon Turn — The game has four jackpot levels: mini, minor, major and grand. The most important symbol in the game is the red envelope, which can help you trigger the free spins feature or receive various prizes, such as credits, super games and winnings upgrades. The game features five reels and 40 paylines.
- China Shores — Inspired by pandas, this slot can award you up to 15 free games if you land three, four or five yin yang. You can also choose to trade your free games and receive a credit prize instead. All winnings during the free spins round are doubled.

Playground rewards program
Playground features a detailed rewards program that offers benefits to regular visitors. By becoming a member of the program, you can receive various perks for electronic gambling devices and poker at Playground. There are currently four tiers: Silver, Gold, Red and Black.
- Silver — 0 to 2,499 points
- Gold — 2,500 to 29,999
- Red — 30,000 to 299,999
- Black — 300,000 points
Silver members will be able to receive redeemable points while playing EGDs and even get free drinks. They can use these points and redeem them for food and beverages, promotions and merchandise.
Gold members can also redeem points for cash back and EGD play. They can also receive some exclusive promotions.

Finally, Black members will have an increased rate of 25% when earning points. Moreover, they’ll have access to free premium drinks and a dedicated host.

Cardroom at Playground Poker Club
Playground’s primary focus is poker. In fact, the full name of the property is Playground Poker Club. It features more than 70 poker tables that are home to all kinds of cash games and poker tournaments. Apart from the standard in-house competitions that take place all the time, Playground is also an essential stop on several poker tours, including the World Poker Tour series.
WPT DeepStacks Montreal is a popular tournament, with $1,000,000 in guaranteed prizes for the Main Event. Here’s a list of all the tournaments you can find if you visit Playground:
- Daily High Hands
- WPT DeepStacks Montreal
- Power Weekend
- Playground Seniors’ Series
- Playground Women’s Series
The poker room also features various promotions for players, with one of the most prominent being the bad beat jackpot.
The bad beat jackpot kicks in if you have a strong hand (the minimum qualifying hand is four deuces) and still lose. In that case, the $100,000 jackpot comes into play. The player who lost the hand gets the lion’s share — $38,000. The hand’s winner gets $19,000, while each of the other players at the table receives $2,714. Moreover, all players in the Playground’s poker room and those playing NLHE cash games receive $2,111.
This jackpot applies only to no-limit hold’em, but Playground also offers a jackpot for Omaha players, which is a bit smaller but lucrative nevertheless.
