Street Fighter II graphics and design
The Street Fighter II slot keeps so true to the original 2D pixelated graphics of the original game that you may find yourself wondering if you’re playing it until the reel set drops into place. If you’ve never heard of or played Street Fighter II, the graphics look archaic, but big fans of the arcade game will likely enjoy how much it looks like the original. The music is similar too, and fans of the original game will probably love it, but those who aren’t might find it distracting. For recreation, NetEnt did a great job.

How Street Fighter II’s bonus features work
Street Fighter II is a fight to the top round to beat the champion, M. Bison.
Round one battle
You start off choosing your character from one of eight from different countries that each have different strengths and wild combos. The reel set is overlaid on various maps, depending on the country, and comprised of victory and defeat symbols of both your character and the opponent.
Four or more victory, defeat, or card symbols in a cluster is a win that fills the wild gauge with the corresponding number of wilds and are replaced by avalanche symbols.
Each character has predetermined wild combo attacks that are activated by a full wild gauge, which is only filled by victory and defeat symbols of winning combinations. The wild gauge can continue to fill in subsequent avalanche symbols until the spin is over.
Once the spin is complete, if seven or more wilds are registered in the wild gauge, your character is charged up to use its associated wild combo attack on the reel set. Any wins from this attack and additional avalanche symbol reel wins add more wilds for additional combo attacks until the wild gauge has less than seven wilds remaining.
Each character starts with points reflected on the health meter above the reel set. New characters are allotted 65 points and continuing players from previous rounds and new opponents each start with 75. Both victory and defeat symbols in winning clusters for each character take points off of the other’s health meter. If you lose, you participate in the car smash bonus game where you get to take your frustration out on a car that awards a random 5x to 15x payout. If you win, you advance to the beat the boss free spins feature.
Beat the boss free spins
The beat the boss free spins feature has four levels with multipliers for each one:
- Round two vs. Balrog: 2x
- Round three vs. Vega: 3x
- Round four vs. Sagat: 5x
- Round five vs. M. Bison: 10x
If you win a round, you advance to the next round, whereas if you lose, you’re offered the chance for a rematch with the coin gamble feature.
