Elements Casino Chilliwack (formerly known as Chances Chilliwack) is one of the most popular casinos in British Columbia and one of seven Elements Casino properties in Canada. The casino is conveniently located next to Chilliwack Municipal Airport and just over an hour’s drive from downtown Vancouver. It is also very close to the border, making it an ideal place for US players looking for legal land-based gambling.
Elements Casino features around 300 video slot machines, several table games, a racebook and a bingo hall. Apart from a few casino poker games, there isn’t a dedicated poker room where you can play against other players. The casino currently runs two rewards programs: Privé and Encore.
Those who are craving some delicious dishes can stop by the casino’s official restaurant — The Well Public House. There’s also an entertainment hall where you can catch some of the best local bands and comedians. The casino does not have an adjacent hotel, but there are plenty of places in Chilliwack where you can find accommodations.
According to British Columbia laws, no person under the age of 19 will be permitted to enter the casino premises.
Elements Casino is the only casino in Chilliwack. This quiet little town about an hour’s drive from Vancouver is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy private gambling sessions for hours. The casino is located right next to the town’s airport and is easily accessible from the Trans-Canada Highway.
Although it’s not the largest casino in British Columbia, Elements Casino still has a decent collection of games. There are over 300 modern video slot machines (including progressive slots), together with several table games such as blackjack and poker. Of course, the focus is on video slots, as players can enjoy plenty of popular titles like She’s a Rich Girl, 88 Fortunes and Buffalo.
Elements Casino is one of a few BC casinos that features a dedicated bingo room. Bingo sessions at Elements Casino Chilliwack run every day and include jackpot games. There’s also an off-track racebook where guests can enjoy placing wagers on the most popular horse races in Canada and across the globe.
Regrettably, there is no poker room at Elements Casino. However, poker fans can still enjoy playing against dealers on tables that feature Ultimate Texas Hold’em and four card poker.
Other property features include free parking, complimentary coffee, a GameSense info center, a meeting room and event space.
One of the best things about Elements Casino is that its guests can become a part of not one but two rewards programs. Both Privé and Encore rewards programs are available, and being a member of these programs can result in plenty of benefits, such as free play, dining discounts, access to exclusive games and more.
The casino also runs frequent promotions, although there are no promotions scheduled right now due to the casino being temporarily closed down.
While Elements Casino offers a versatile gambling experience, the fans of video slot games will be most happy with the casino’s selection of games. That is to say, most games you can find on the casino floor are, in fact, video slots. Element Casino’s video slot collection includes over 300 state-of-the-art machines, with denominations ranging from $0.01 to $1.
Of course, there are several BC casinos where the number of video slots exceeds 500 or even 1,000 machines, but due to the Element Casino’s limited gambling space, 300 machines are rather impressive.
There are plenty of popular slot games available, the most notable being 88 Fortunes. The goal of this game is to line up Fu Bat Jackpot symbols and become eligible for the progressive jackpot that can be worth tens of thousands of dollars or more.
Buffalo is also a very popular title thanks to its fast-paced action and engaging bonus features. Speaking of bonus features, Lock It Link — Diamonds is in the running for the award for being the most well-designed land-based slot game, with its free games and the Lock It Link Respin feature that can unlock some massive rewards.
Other notable titles include China Shores Great Stacks, Powerbucks, BC Gold and Dynamic Dollars. Elements Casino currently doesn’t have any VLTs (video lottery terminals).
Although video slots dominate Element Casino’s floors, there is also a fair selection of table games. The available table games at the casino include:
There is a single table available for each of these games, except for King’s Bounty Blackjack, which can be played on two tables. Unfortunately, the casino does not offer baccarat, roulette or craps, which is a shame considering that these classic games can be found at almost every other BC casino.
Nevertheless, blackjack players have something to look forward to, as there are three versions of the game spread across four tables. Also, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and four card poker compensate for the lack of a dedicated poker room.
Elements Casino is part of two rewards programs: Privé and Encore. Privé members can enjoy the VIP treatment by having access to exclusive high-limit games, getting a dedicated host and extra service, and more.
Encore Rewards is a tier-based rewards program that lets you get special benefits like birthday gifts, contest entries, free play, dining discounts and other premium offers. The way this program works is that you will earn points every time you play video slots and table games or eat at the casino’s participating restaurants. You can then redeem the points for free play and restaurant discounts.
There are four Encore Rewards tiers — Diamond, Double Diamond, Triple Diamond and Elite — each coming with its own set of benefits. You should know that the Encore Rewards program is not specific to Elements Casino, as you can take advantage of its benefits in dozens of casinos in British Columbia.
Elements Casino doesn’t have a sportsbook, but that’s somewhat compensated with simulcast off-track horse race betting. Players can bet on popular Canadian horse races, while occasional international races are on the schedule as well.
Elements Casino does not offer accommodation, although the town of Chilliwack has several high-end hotels for players who plan on spending more than one night.
The closest accommodation is at Chilliwack Bed & Breakfast, which is also one of the more affordable options. Other hotels include the Comfort Inn, SureStay Hotel by Best Western, Hampton Inn by Hilton, Travelodge Hotel by Windham and Coast Chilliwack Hotel by APA.
Most hotels in Chilliwack include free parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi, while some of the more sophisticated ones have indoor pools, spas and fitness centers, and other amenities.
Elements Casino Chilliwack features an excellent restaurant called The Well Public House. The restaurant’s menu includes everything from affordable breakfast to steak dinners. Happy hour is every day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., while there’s also a late night happy hour offered for a few hours every night between Sunday and Thursday.
The Well Public House also serves as the casino’s live entertainment venue. Music shows usually run every Friday and Saturday night, and the performers range from talented local musicians to some of the best Canadian stand-up comedians.
Chances Casino opened its doors in 2012, becoming the first land-based casino in Chilliwack. It was seen as an oasis for the local gambling community that no longer needed to seek casino entertainment in Vancouver or neighbouring towns.
In 2019, the casino was rebranded and named Elements Casino Chilliwack. The official reopening took place in November that year. The casino didn’t go through any major renovation, but it included some new video slot machines.
