History of Casino Regina

Union Train Station — now the site of Casino Regina — was constructed in the early 1910s, making it the third train station in Regina. The station was built the same year that the deadly “Regina Cyclone” hit the city.

A major expansion to the site took place in 1931, with the original façade replaced with an art deco style that remains in place today. The building itself contains old railway police cells in the basement, as well as evidence of now-destroyed tunnels that were said to stretch several blocks east.

The major revamp to turn the site into a casino took place in 1995 in the year before opening its doors for the first time. Further renovations took place in 2001 and 2009. Today, as well as casino gambling, you can enjoy Union Station historic tours and nightly LED shows. The casino is a notable employer in Regina, with more than 650 staff.

Slots at Casino Regina

With more than 1,000 slots and electronic games to choose from, there are popular games from all the big providers at Casino Regina. Nearly half of the slots at the casino start at the penny denomination. Traditional reel slots and high limit options see the bet per line hit $5 and more. Casino Regina advertises 300+ of its slots as having progressive jackpots. Add to this bonus games like wheel spins, picks games and hold and spin bonuses, and you have many ways to win big.
