Inspired Entertainment recently announced its iGaming Goods or Services Supplier–Critical Gaming Systems (IGCS) registration by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC). It already had a partnership with PlayAlberta. Its AGLC approval may consolidate its presence in the province, and more broadly, across North America.

Inspired Entertainment’s AGLC approval

Inspired had already partnered with PlayAlberta even before its AGLC registration. PlayAlberta is the only regulated iGaming site in Alberta

Recently, Inspired’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Brook Pierce, announced,

“We are thrilled to receive our IGCS registration from the AGLC.”

With Inspired’s IGCS registration comes potential access to a larger market as Alberta’s iGaming launches in 2026.

Pierce reinforced this projection,

“Alberta is a highly attractive market, and our experience with PlayAlberta gives us a strong foundation to expand responsibly.”

Alberta’s imminent launch is marked by a focus on player protection, responsible gaming measures and strict iGaming regulations. Holding an IGCS licence matches the province’s aspirations. It may further reinforce Inspired’s reputation as a proven B2B provider of regulated iGaming products to licensed operators in North America.

What Inspired Entertainment Offers

Inspired is a B2B iGaming products provider with a proven content-centric approach that integrates retail and digital channels. It blends state-of-the-art technology, innovative Virtuals, top-of-the-line hardware and player-centric content into premium retail iGaming services. The result is a uniform player experience across all touchpoints.

Inspired’s proprietary Virtuals products are lauded as “best-in-class” and use advanced motion capture, market research and motion graphic technology to create top-tier games. Its portfolio also includes proprietary, immersive and highly interactive casino titles. These deliver premium gameplay regardless of the device a player uses.

What Inspired Entertainment’s Presence Might Mean for the Alberta Market

Inspired may be the right partner for licensed Alberta casino sites. The company can support operators looking to scale operations, improve player experiences and drive engagement.

Pierce also claims,

“…we look forward to helping operators deliver great gaming experiences while supporting the province’s commitment to player protection.”

Inspired is already popular for supplying the essential technology, content, hardware and services that power innovative, player-focused and fully integrated gaming environments. When Alberta’s iGaming market launches, Inspired possibly can bring these solutions to the province. This could further consolidate its presence in the North American iGaming space.
